Jason导师现任普林斯顿大学土木与环境工程终身正教授,能源与环境中心副主任,普林斯顿材料科学与技术研究所 (PRISM) Associated Faculty,工程生物学项目(PEB)执行委员会,可持续能源项目执行委员会。曾任美籍华人环境工程与科学教授协会(CAPEES)主席,积极推动中美环境能源领域的交流与合作。荣获ASCE Walter L. Huber 土木工程研究奖、Nanonova/CAPEES 前沿研究奖、年度新发明家奖、卓越研究和创意工作奖,是环境和可再生能源领域的专家,致力于将环境污染物转化为再生能源、废水处理和再利用、海水淡化、修复以及碳捕获和利用等环境过程中的能源和资源回收领域,以推动资源综合回收。Jason导师在多个国际顶级期刊 Nature Sustainability, Nature Climate Change, Nature Energy, Science Advances, Energy & Environmental Science, Environmental Science & Technology, Water Research等发表超过200篇学术论文。
Jason is a professor of civil and environmental engineering at Princeton University, Acting Director & Associate Director of the Energy and Environment Center, Associated Faculty of Princeton Institute of Materials Science and Technology (PRISM), Executive Committee of Engineering Biology Project (PEB) , and Executive Committee of Sustainable Energy Project. He served as the chairman of the Chinese American Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors (CAPEES), and actively promoted the exchanges and cooperation in the field of environmental energy between China and the United States. He has won the ASCE Walter L. Huber Civil Engineering Research Award, Nanonova/CAPEES Frontier Research Award, New Inventor of the Year Award, Excellent Research and Creative Work Award. He is an expert in the field of environment and renewable energy, dedicated to transforming environmental pollutants into regeneration Energy, waste water treatment and reuse, seawater desalination, restoration, and carbon capture and utilization in the energy and resource recovery areas in environmental processes to promote comprehensive resource recovery. Prof. Jason has published more than 200 academic papers in many top international journals Nature Sustainability, Nature Climate Change, Nature Energy, Science Advances, Energy & Environmental Science, Environmental Science & Technology, Water Research, etc.

项目背景
地球为人类提供了大量自然资源,人类社会在此基础上不断进步。然而时至今日,现代工业、农业的高速发展造成了严重的环境污染。臭氧层破坏、气候变暖、水资源污染、工业废料排泄等环境问题又引发了厄尔尼诺现象、温室效应、赤潮、沙尘暴等自然灾害。极端天气为我们的日常生产生活带来了诸多不便,天气模式的改变导致粮食生产面临威胁,海平面上升造成发生灾难性洪灾的风险不断增加,临海城市和国家面临巨大生存危机,全球生态平衡时刻遭到破坏。而这些是人类活动所造成的温室气体导致的严重后果,控制二氧化碳排放总量,增加碳汇能力,实现碳循环平衡,提出和实现“碳达峰”和“碳中和”目标对于应对全球气候变化具有重要意义。

本项目旨在探索碳中和与新能源技术的发展趋势和应用。研究重点包括节能减碳技术、化石燃料的清洁利用与替代、氢能和生物质能源的技术应用和未来前景。通过分析这些技术在降低碳排放、提高能源效率和替代传统化石燃料方面的潜力和挑战,课题将揭示实现碳中和目标的最佳路径。尤其是氢能和生物质能源,它们在可持续能源转型中扮演着越来越重要的角色,具有广阔的应用前景。学生在项目最后,可以选择自己感兴趣的方向进行研究,在项目结束时提交项目报告,进行成果展示。

This project aims to explore the development trends and applications of carbon neutrality and new energy technologies. The research focuses on energy-saving and carbon reduction technologies, the clean utilization and replacement of fossil fuels, and the technological applications and future prospects of hydrogen and biomass energy. By analyzing these technologies' potential and challenges in reducing carbon emissions, improving energy efficiency, and replacing traditional fossil fuels, the project will reveal the best paths to achieving carbon neutrality. Hydrogen and biomass energy, in particular, play an increasingly important role in sustainable energy transition and have broad application prospects.At the end of the project, students should choose their own directions, submit their project reports at the end of the project to demonstrate the results.
